台北市長柯文哲率團前往上海參加雙城論壇前，曾說「了解並尊重九二共識」，被問到這種說法是否對民進黨產生影響？對此，前行政院長謝長廷今（19）日出席民進黨中常會前受訪時表示，「不會有影響」，他說，柯文哲是無黨籍，尊重異議，也尊重他。

媒體問到，會不會擔心未來民進黨縣市首長去交流時、將被迫必須套上九二共識框架才能交流？謝長廷表示，兩岸互動是相對的，「對我們好，對對岸也好」，因為不可能一個交流是建築在一方的利益上，這樣都不會持久，

謝長廷說，他看柯文哲這次去對岸，也有相當的溝通、跟互相讓步，這是好現象，本來如果一方堅持一定要這樣、才會怎麼樣，也做不成。

媒體追問，柯文哲的表現好不好？謝長廷說，「我覺得算穩健」，很多人預測說柯文哲會突槌，結果他沒有突槌。
